At Matthews & Michaels, our primary function and focus is locating our clients' borrowers and collateral. We use the latest technology and integrated functionality to accomplish this primary phase of our process as efficiently and effectively as possible
Collateral Repossession Management
At M&M, we use a network of licensed and insured repossession agents to recover the assets we locate and to ensure the recoveries are done in a manner consistent with laws of each state and community where the repossession takes place. In addition, we only use agents that have met with our clients' approval.
Remarketing
For those clients who request it, M&M offers remarketing services to aid in the disposal of recovered assets.
Step 1: Skip Tracing
When a borrower falls behind on their payments, the most important action is to locate the borrower and the collateral. At M&M we use a combination of experience and technology to track both down and either help bring the borrower current on their payments or secure your collateral for disposition.
Step 2: Repossession Management
Once it becomes clear that a vehicle must be repossessed, we use a bonded and insured professional in the area to take possession of your collateral and move it to a location of your choosing or into a storage facility for disposition at your convenience.
Just to be clear, Matthews & Michaels does no repossessions ourselves. We contract with local professionals who licensed and fully familiar with the local laws and requirements.
As part of service to you, we offer you the final approval of any repo agent that will be servicing your account. If you have a preferred vendor for a particular area, we will be happy to work with them. And conversely if you agents you prefer not to use, we will exclude them from working on your accounts.
Step 3: Remarketing
While many of our clients prefer to dispose of their reclaimed collateral themselves, a large number have requested our help in remarketing their vehicles.
Our remarketing service manages all aspects of the process from paperwork completion, to movement of the vehicle to the auction house, to setting the vehicle up for auction and finally movement of the funds to you.
